Kandar Anubhuti ends with verse 51, whose images move between form and formlessness, presence and absence, life and its source. These pairs invite the reader to consider a divine presence that cannot be exhausted by one image or definition. The verse then closes with a direct appeal to Guha to come as guru and grant grace.
Guru means a spiritual teacher; arul is commonly rendered as grace. The closing line brings these ideas into a relationship. The speaker does not simply announce that he understands. He asks to be guided. The movement from expansive images to a personal request gives the prayer much of its force.
Our English rendering is an introduction to that request. It keeps the act of asking at the centre of the passage. A reader can return to the complete Tamil verse and a named commentary to explore its philosophical language more deeply, without losing the intimacy of its final address.
